We are very excited to announce the dates for 2014 and we look forward to seeing all 631 returning teams as well as many new teams. The Mt Hood Challenge has quickly become the tournament of choice
for teams to wind down their busy summer tournament season.
Due to popular demand, we will be using the same tournament structure for 2014 that we used last year. In case you missed us last year, here is how the tournament will work:
Friday: Over 80% of the teams will play a single game (a few might play two, but that is not the norm). Games
will begin around 1pm and teams at partner hotels traveling 4+ hours will be able to request a later start on Friday.
Saturday: Teams should plan on two games. The games will be from 9am to 7:30pm.
Sunday: Teams should plan on a single game. The games will be from 9am to 5pm.
All games will occur in the Portland Metro Area. Fields are conveniently located to restaurants, tax-free shopping and great hotels. Teams traveling to the tournament will have access to our
personal travel coordinator. She can help you find the hotel that will best suit your team and she can help arrange team dinner reservations and assist with scheduling team activities around your
All teams are guaranteed four games and each
team will advance to the playoff rounds once the preliminary rounds have been completed. First and second place bracket champions will receive medals. Championship photos will be available to all
families after the tournament. Players, coaches and managers listed on the roster will receive a customized souvenir pin.
