TOURNAMENT BRACKETS

U9-U14:
The preferred format for these ages is to have sixteen teams in each division. In the sixteen team format, teams will be placed in four 4-team brackets and will play a two game round-robin preliminary schedule. After those games have been completed, the teams will be re-bracketed for the playoffs. The top two teams from each bracket will be put in one group and the bottom two teams from each bracket will be put in a separate group. By using this format, teams will then play teams with similar records from the preliminary round for the playoff round.

Once teams have been separated for the playoffs, every team will participate in the quarterfinals. Winners of the quarterfinal games will advance to the 'championship' semifinals. The losers of the quarterfinal matches will advance to the 'consolation' semifinals. Both the first and second place team in the 'championship' FINALS will receive medals. The winning team in the 'consolation' FINALS will receive medals.

U15-U19:
The preferred format is to have twelve teams per division. In this format, teams will be placed in four 3-team brackets and play a two game round-robin preliminary schedule. After those games have been completed, the teams will be re-bracketed for the playoffs. The top teams will be in one group, the second place teams in another group and the last place teams will be in another group.

Once the teams have been separated for the playoffs, all teams will now play their semifinal match with the winning teams advancing to the finals. In the finals, all teams will receive medals.

Similar bracketing formats will be used when there are fewer than sixteen teams as this is the best way to get two to three preliminary games for all teams so we can re-bracket them for the playoff rounds.
